The master’s program in the Institute of Learning Sciences recruits students through the standard application procedure. After admission, students select courses from two main research areas—(a) Psychological Mechanisms and Social/Cultural Contexts and (b) Learning Technologies and Guidance. A total of 30 credits are required, with 11 in required courses, 15 in electives, and 4 for the thesis. Additionally, students are encouraged to select learning-related courses offered by the other institutes, mainly to enhance their knowledge of allied academic subjects and fundamentals of the scientific method, which will enhance their abilities to pursue research and find practical applications in other academic fields.
